Sergeant Ben Gibson and his son Cooper are gradually settling into life in the rural city of Clarkdale in Central Victoria having decided to make it their permanent home. As they slowly recover from the devastating death of Ben’s wife and daughter Ben begins to consider the possibility of finding love again. In Operation Counterstrike Senior Constable Cassandra Morrow and police dog Samson, a feisty two-year-old Rottweiler, are sent to Clarkdale to complete their six-month operational training phase.
