‘Dear God,’ Joshua prayed. ‘What was Jesus like as a boy? Why doesn't the Bible tell us more about his childhood?' Once again, a simple prayer catapults Joshua back in time to the temple in Jerusalem where he meets Jesus. If anyone could get away with skipping church, surely it would be the Son of God, and yet twelve-year-old Jesus is determined to learn all he can. Not even the grumpy rabbis are enough to turn him away. Meanwhile, Mary, Joseph, and Hannah are heading back to Nazareth when a surprise discovery makes them turn around.

When Joshua prays on Christmas Eve, he doesn't expect to wake up in the palace of an angry king. With the help of a new friend, Joshua and Hannah uncover Herod's plot to find and destroy the saviour of the world. Can Joshua and Hannah get to Jesus in time to save the babies of Bethlehem? And will their faith be strong enough to carry them through?

When Hannah goes to bed on Christmas Eve, the last thing she expects is to wake up in a dusty shed with her brother and a chicken. With no time to search for their parents, Joseph and Mary take the children with them on the road from Nazareth to Bethlehem.
