Another fantastic listen...I love warhammer, I live heresey but I never have the patience to sit and read, but these audio books bring the 30k universe to me when I'm out walking or working and they are done beautifully, the voicing is tremendous I highly recommend it

The narrator's performance has improved from book 1 as he has gotten into the characters.

A great conclusion to books 1 & 2

The strength of Galaxy in Flames is it's culmination of the events being set in motion in Horus Rising and False Gods. The first three books serve as a great introduction to the cause and characters of the Heresy itself. You could stop here as a 40k fan as you know what happens.

However I feel this book is by far the weakest of the three. The author is not on par with Abnett or McNeill in my opinion. I found his writing style very plain and lacking impact. I also felt that the narrator was more inconsistent in this novel when compared to the first two. I felt the voices of some characters had changed a little. So this was a little worse than previous novels too.

To conclude I would say this novel starts weak but finishes strong. The second half is very good, and worth getting through the first for. I don't have an issue with slow burn at all, I just felt the writing here was not as engaging.

Serves as a good ending to the opening trilogy

Another amazing performance that brings you deeper and deeper into the story of the horus heresy. Everything, from plot to pace, performance and character development on a par with the best Sci fi books and audio stories out there. Highly recommended.

Head deeper into the heresy.
