Vi Veri (pronounced VEE VEH-ree) is the name under which I chose to author and publish my inspirational books. It translates to “In Faith” in Slovenian, honoring my paternal grandparents’ heritage and reflecting what has truly been a leap of faith—turning ideas into published books and trusting they may serve others. My friends call me Anne, by the way—the name I used for my latest book, Now That I’m Catholic. A cradle Catholic, I spent many years going through the motions of faith without fully understanding the richness of what the Church teaches. About ten years ago, I came to the humbling realization that I could not confidently answer many questions about my own faith or explain why the Church teaches what it does. That moment became a turning point, leading me to study more deeply and discover the beauty I had overlooked for so long. In 2018, I was invited to coordinate our parish religious education program, an opportunity that deepened both my knowledge and love for the Catholic faith. Then in 2023, I was asked to lead our parish Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) program—a role that felt both daunting and deeply meaningful. It has since become one of the most rewarding faith experiences of my life: continually sharing the faith while continuing to learn it more deeply myself. I often feel I fit well within the familiar truth that God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called. That journey inspired Now That I'm Catholic, written to help those entering the Catholic Church, returning after time away, or seeking a clearer understanding of Catholic teaching live the faith with greater confidence. My writing also includes the “Sprinkled” series, created to make Scripture approachable through relatable, bite-sized reflections drawn from every book of the Bible. Through books such as Hope Sprinkled Daily, Humility Sprinkled Daily, and The Bible Sprinkled Daily, I aim to offer manageable daily encouragement that helps readers grow steadily in faith without feeling overwhelmed. Across all my books, my goal is simple: to make faith approachable, encouraging, and rooted in the belief that even small daily steps can lead to deeper understanding and lasting spiritual growth.
