Dr. Midhat Zwayen has over two decades of experience in Iraq’s engineering and project management sector, bridging the gap between Western executives and Iraqi stakeholders. As president of Dijlah Consulting Engineers and cofounder of Dijlah Urban Planning & Design, he’s played a key role in Iraq’s reconstruction, managing projects in infrastructure, urban development, and multinational consulting. Dijlah Consulting Engineers is an Iraqi firm focused on sustainable development, providing engineering services and construction supervision. Midhat has advised multiple Iraqi Ministries and led the creation of a Sustainability Office within the firm. Under his leadership, Dijlah launched the Iraqi Voter Engagement Initiative (IVEI) to increase citizen participation in Iraq’s democratic processes ahead of the 2021 Parliamentary Elections. With a doctorate in business administration, Midhat specializes in cross-cultural leadership, helping leaders navigate the complexities of working in post-conflict economies.
