María Suré was born in Salamanca (Spain) and moved to Valencia at the age of 21, where she studied Computer Engineering. She currently works as a software analyst and developer, is married, and has two children. Passionate about reading all genres since childhood, she always dreamed of bringing to life the characters and stories that sprang from her fertile imagination. In 2014, she decided to start writing her first novel and make her dreams a reality. Her first novel, THE COLOR OF FORGIVENESS (EL COLOR DEL PERDÓN), was published in September 2015. In October 2017, her second novel, PROJECTO B.E.L., was a finalist for the 21st Badajoz City Novel Prize and was published that same month. June 2022 saw the publication of LÁGRIMAS DE POLVO ROJO by the publisher MAEVA. In April 2023, her latest novel, HUÉRFANOS DE SOMBRA, was published as part of the MAEVA NOIR collection. The novel is set in a village in the Sierra de Francia mountains (Salamanca), a location the author knows very well. In April 2024, again with MAEVA, María published SUEÑOS ENTRE CENIZAS, in which the team of investigators from Tears of Red Dust faces the murder of a young student in Valencia.
