George Robstad is a prairie-based cozy mystery author living in Saskatoon on Treaty 6 territory. His Cash Kristiansen Mystery series blends small-town intrigue, queer self-discovery, Scandinavian-inspired food traditions, and the relationships we have with our friends and chosen family as well as ourselves. George’s debut mystery, Sandbakkels and Sin, introduced readers to Cash Kristiansen, a protagonist searching for belonging while navigating murder, memory, chosen family, and life on the fictional West Coast community of Salt Cliff Isle. Inspired by his Norwegian heritage, time spent on the West Coast, and an enduring fascination with true crime, George writes character-driven mysteries for readers who enjoy atmospheric settings, layered relationships, found family, and stories where knowing the characters is just as important as solving the case.
