He is the author of seven books on beverage alcohol. Since 1989, he has written hundreds of articles for publications, including the New York Times Sunday Magazine, Wine Enthusiast, Sky – the Delta Airlines in-flight magazine, and many more. He has been honored in Scotland, France, and the United States for his writing and educational activities. In 2010, he co-founded Ultimate Beverage Challenge serving as the judging director.
