A retired librarian, Ellen now focuses on two lifelong passions: dogs and writing. She has decades of experience as a therapy dog volunteer and instructor with Dog B.O.N.E.S: Therapy Dogs of Massachusetts, and has been certified as a dog trainer and as a Certified Animal Assisted Intervention Specialist. She currently shares her life with two Golden Retrievers, Gracie and Leo, both certified therapy dogs. She and Leo volunteer at an elementary school as a therapy dog team.
