Eliot Applestein is a former high school psychology teacher, writer, accordion and piano player. He is the author of "Silvertip," about a traumatized Special Agent of the National Park Service who must investigate a murder in Shenandoah National Park. He has written about higher education for The Washington Post. Marta Vogel and Eliot Applestein are still happily married, despite having collaborated on two novels, two screenplays, and a musical.* They love dogs and have been neighborhood dog walkers for over twenty years. __________________ *Together Marta and Eliot have written "Gotta Get In" both as a screenplay, musical, and novel. "Gotta Get In" satirizes the college admissions game by following Jennifer, a high school senior who tries just about everything to get her boyfriend into college with her. "Painting With Dog" was originally written as a screenplay which won seven laurels in national competitions.
