Debra I. Thomas is a children’s author, mother, and grandmother passionate about creating stories that inspire kindness, imagination, courage, and emotional connection in young readers. After raising her four children, she is now fully embracing her lifelong dream of writing. Her experiences as both a mother and grandmother deeply influence the warmth and positive messages woven throughout her books. Debra believes stories can shape young minds, spark creativity, and help children better understand themselves and the world around them. She is the author of I Made It Home and Bazil Goes to School, with many more stories in development. Debra often welcomes children’s ideas and perspectives into her storytelling process, creating books inspired by children and written for children.
