*Voices in Motion* is a collection of interconnected stories drawn from a decade of interviews with actual migrants — an Ecuadorian night janitor who studies law between shifts; a Colombian engineer in Silicon Valley whose visa is a leash; a DACA recipient who has never seen the country she is supposed to belong to; a trafficking survivor who rebuilt herself in the language of her captors; a man who died in ICE detention, told through the eyes of those who loved him.

Each story stands alone. Together they form a portrait of the immigration experience that resists easy politics — registering instead what it actually feels like to be between countries, between selves, between the person you were and the one you are becoming.
