Lucid has hit the streets. It's a new drug that allows its user the ability to sense and control other people's bodies... and things are about to get ugly. After traveling the world with the genetically-engineered members of The Designed, Raleigh returns home to the United States having found both her confidence and her ability to induce Lucid in others. A war is brewing, and with Designed on both sides, neither has the advantage.

Following the temporary alliance with Grant and Able, Raleigh and her team must find a way to defeat the evil Sigma before he strikes again. To do so they must take a perilous journey to an island off the Greek coast where an ancient tribe of healers has a secret that may be able to help them. Sealed off from the world, the order only allows those with serious illnesses to benefit from their knowledge. In order to infiltrate the group, Raleigh must fake illness by weakening herself and allowing her blackouts to return.

In siding with the Designed, Raleigh has entered into a world of peril. While she knew her decision would have consequences, she had no idea just how severe they would be. Now on the run, she's being hunted from all sides. In order to save herself and her friends from being drained of their Lucid by their enemies, Raleigh is forced to work with Chi, whose loyalties are torn, and Tau, who believes she's working for their enemy and intends to prove it.
