It was a temporary defeat, however, as the entity retreated up into the body’s brain, safely entrenched behind the blood-brain barrier that is preventing the dungeon crystal from accessing the coveted home base of the central nervous system. As he further establishes his control over the different systems that he can access, a grievous wound to the body creates a problem that could spell the end of his objective.

Ewan Cameron is a Vancouver-based health researcher that has uncovered the truth about Huntington's disease and how the pharmaceutical industry has kept this hidden from the public. A graduate of the northern Alberta institute of technology, he completed his journalism studies in the early 2000's before joining a local newspaper, where he became disillusioned by his editor's refusal to publish health-related and pollution-related news stories. The reason? They would upset their corporate clients on which the newspaper depended for advertising.

“Un tipo con cáncer entra a un bar…” ese es el provocador título del libro del escritor y humorista Sergio Jablon, a quien le diagnosticaron tres tipos de cáncer en menos de un año. Este libro no es una biografía, ni un manual de auto-ayuda, sino una provocación literaria, que tiene inspiración, humor, momentos de thriller, y que sobre todo, ofrece una nueva perspectiva que reta al lector con la idea de que el cáncer no determina nuestras vidas y que incluso se puede ser feliz a pesar de ella.

Here are my email dispatches sent from the frontline with dry humour and honesty - but no sentiment. I start with the lead up to the action (performing the day before) and end with world travel. A noble hero? At times I felt more like the battleground itself! "Stay calm, lie flat, and drink plenty of water." It was others who fought: the medics, those who visited, prayed, etc. Personally, in such circumstances, I doubt an aggressively positive attitude makes much difference to outcome: That may encourage some!

Have you ever been forced to consider the fact of your mortality? If confronted with cancer, how would you feel? What would you say to the people you love? What would they say to you? No two people have the same answers to these questions, a lesson I learned well during a solo six-week, 5,000-mile cross-country bike ride I called Cycle of Lives. The trip started as a fundraiser in honor of my sister, June, who died of brain cancer.

PreciGenetics: The Technology That Lets Us Watch Life Think explores a radical idea: cancer keeps winning because biology is still half-blind. Cancer is not one disease but an adaptive system that evolves between our measurements. Traditional tools rely on snapshots, averages, and destructive methods that miss the real enemy—time-based change and resistant minority cells. The book introduces a new approach: using light (photonics) to read living cells without labels or destruction, capturing real-time “epigenetic movies.
