Season 4 Episode 35. Host Michael Ryan interviews David Barnett who was the sonar operator the night of The Southland Encounter. During the third week of February 1987 the New Zealand Frigate HMNZS Southland was 175 miles off the coast of the North Island of New Zealand. At 1 am the ship started tracking a USO that was 20 kms behind the vessel. After 30 minutes the USO went from 20kms behind to underneath the warship in less than 30 seconds. At that point the Southland loss all power and was set adrift. Sonar operator David Barnett gives a very detailed interview about what happened that night. Season 4 Episode 33. Host Michael Ryan interviews retired NASA scientist Dr. Richard F. Haines about cases he researched for his unpublished book on UFOs witnessed during the Vietnam War. His book covers the time period from June 1966 to October 1973. Cases include a soldier who is taken aboard a craft near his fire base at Chu Chee. There is also the incredible incident at Nha Trang Air Base when a 50 foot wide UFO hovered 300 feet above the base and cut off all power and lit up the entire area like it was daytime. Bill talks about the UFO incursion into the nuclear storage facility at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in 1975 and the Bankson Lake Incident that happened on Friday, August 1st, 1986. Two friends, John Long and Richard Jandura were fishing at night when a very large and bright object floated over them. It was an experience that they would never forget.
