    Lore segment begins at (20:16)

Deathwing’s return has left the dragonflights divided, grieving, and vulnerable.

At the Maelstrom, Thrall is no longer Warchief. He is one shaman among many, trying to calm forces that refuse to answer him. But when the ritual fails, Aggra forces him to confront a wound he has avoided for too long: the name Go’el, the death of Cairne, and the question of who Thrall is without the Horde.

Far to the north, Wyrmrest Temple becomes the stage for another fracture. The blue dragonflight grieves Malygos. Arygos and Kalecgos represent two possible futures. Ysera warns that the Hour of Twilight is coming. Then twilight dragons strike, the sanctums below Wyrmrest are destroyed, and Alexstrasza shatters the Orb of Unity in grief.

With the Accord broken and Nozdormu missing, Ysera sends Thrall into the Caverns of Time. There, the timeways twist around him, showing him Durotan and Draka alive, Taretha in a world where Thrall died, and Aedelas Blackmoore remade into something far more dangerous.

    Lore segment begins at (12:03)

In Episode 81 of Tides of Lore, we return to the Zandalari, the ancient keepers of troll memory, as their wounded homeland and the prophecy of Zul push them toward a dangerous new future. Once, the Zandalari helped outsiders fight Hakkar in Zul’Gurub. Now, after Deathwing’s return, they begin calling the old troll kingdoms back together.

The Gurubashi dream of Zul’Gurub restored. The Amani answer from Zul’Aman, still carrying the wounds left by centuries of war with the elves. Zul promises unity, survival, and a reborn troll empire. But Vol’jin sees the danger hidden inside that promise. To him, troll identity does not require obedience to Zandalar.

And while the old troll empires rise in the open, another old horror is working beneath Blackrock Mountain.

In Blackrock Caverns, Twilight’s Hammer is reshaping mortal bodies into weapons for the Hour of Twilight. In Blackwing Descent, Deathwing’s legacy continues through Nefarian, Onyxia, and the grotesque experiments of the black dragonflight. Zul wants to resurrect an empire. Nefarian wants to resurrect a process.

The Zandalari uprising is stopped. Zul’Gurub and Zul’Aman are broken again. Blackwing Descent falls silent.

But the deeper dragon crisis is not over yet...

  • Where Fire Dies
    Jun 30 2026

Lore segment begins at (20:50)In the aftermath of the Battle for Mount Hyjal, Azeroth still burns.

Thrall, now the World-Shaman, joins the Earthen Ring, the Cenarion Circle, and the Dragon Aspects beneath Nordrassil in an attempt to heal the damage left by Deathwing’s Cataclysm. But the ritual is shattered when Fandral Staghelm returns as a Druid of the Flame, tearing Thrall’s spirit across the elemental planes.

To save him, Aggra must follow him through doubt, desire, patience, fury, and bring Go’el back before the Firelands claims him forever.

But Thrall’s rescue is only the beginning.

As Leyara, Alysrazor, and the Druids of the Flame strike at Hyjal, Malfurion Stormrage and the Guardians open the Molten Front, carrying the war into Ragnaros’s own realm. There, the campaign pushes through flame, grief, betrayal, and the armies of the Firelord, until Azeroth reaches Sulfuron Keep itself.

This is the story of Elemental Bonds, the Firelands Invasion, and the raid where Ragnaros finally falls.

    This is Where Fire Dies.
