Summary

The night after the older Luna steps through the mirror and vanishes, Luna finds herself alone in the lighthouse with only moths for company. The lamp room is thick with them, their bodies smearing the glass. A new letter appears, written in her own handwriting but dated 1997—ten years from now. It warns her that the keeper who vanished in 1987 never left; he is still here, between the mirrors. Luna descends to the base of the tower, where she finds a door she has never seen before, marked with her own name in rust. Behind it, a staircase leads down into saltwater. The moths follow, and the distant ship light blinks faster. Something is coming up the stairs.
