• Acts: The Invisible Hand
    May 4 2026

Acts 10:1–33 is one of the most carefully constructed passages in the book of Acts — a cinematic, back-and-forth account of God simultaneously preparing two very different men for a meeting neither of them would have sought on their own. Before the gospel crosses its greatest cultural barrier, God moves from both directions at once: softening the heart of a Roman soldier, breaking open the categories of a Jewish fisherman. This sermon explores the doctrine of providence—the invisible hand of God working ahead of us — and what it means for how we engage in mission. God has sent us to the nations. But in his providence, he has also sent the nations to us.

  • Acts: The Imitation of Christ
    Apr 28 2026

Acts 9:32–43 shows how Jesus’ work continues through his followers as Peter heals Aeneas and raises Tabitha, challenging the church to act with tangible compassion. This sermon explores what it looks like to embody Christ’s mercy today—including bold initiatives like forgiving medical debt—and to rely on the Spirit rather than our own strength. It questions whether our prayers and actions expect God to move in extraordinary ways. Listen to discover practical steps for living as a people through whom Jesus still heals, raises, and draws others to himself.

  • Acts: Nothing Prevents You (Easter Sunday 2026)
    Apr 7 2026

In Acts 8:26–40, a powerful Ethiopian official travels a desert road searching the Scriptures and wondering who Isaiah’s suffering servant could be. God sends Philip to explain that the servant is Jesus—the one who suffered, died, and rose again to bring forgiveness and new life. As the eunuch believes the gospel, he asks a powerful question: “What prevents me from being baptized?” This Easter message reminds us that because of the risen Christ, nothing prevents sinners from coming home to God.

  • Acts: The Power That Cannot Be Bought
    Mar 31 2026

In Acts 8:9–25, we encounter Simon the magician, a man who believed the power

of God could be bought. When he offers money to gain the power of the Holy

Spirit, Peter sharply rebukes him and exposes a dangerous misunderstanding of

the gospel. This passage challenges the temptation to use faith as a means to gain

influence, success, or recognition rather than seeking Christ himself. On Palm

Sunday, we remember that the greatest gift of God was not purchased with silver

or gold, but with the blood of Jesus Christ

  • Acts: Struck Down, But Not Destroyed
    Mar 24 2026

Stephen’s death in Acts 7 sparks the first great wave of persecution against the

early church. What looks like defeat becomes the very means God uses to spread

the gospel beyond Jerusalem as believers scatter and carry the good news

wherever they go. In this passage we see the danger of misplaced religious zeal,

the sovereignty of God in times of disruption, and the power of the Holy Spirit to

continue Christ’s mission through ordinary believers. Even when the church is

struck down, the risen King ensures that His mission moves forward

  • Acts: The Ministry and Martyrdom of St. Stephen
    Mar 16 2026

In Acts 6:8–7:60, Stephen stands before the council as a faithful witness to Jesus Christ. Instead of defending himself, he retells the story of Israel to show that God has always been at work beyond temples, traditions, and human control—and that His people have repeatedly resisted Him. When Stephen sees the risen Son of Man standing at the right hand of God, he entrusts himself to a reigning King even as stones fall around him. This sermon calls us to examine where we may be resisting the Spirit and to stand with courage and hope before the King who stands for His people.
