  • The Case of Courtney Angus
    Jun 30 2026

In July 2025, 20-year-old Courtney Angus moved into a house share with a man called Michael Doherty, excited about her new independence and her upcoming 21st birthday celebrations.

But just 2 days after she moved in, Michael started to make unwanted advances toward Courtney and his reaction to her rejection would be fatal.

As the police started to gather evidence, they discovered that Michael had a conviction for a sexual assault before and a history of abusive behaviour towards women... but this was never flagged because he changed his name as it was legal for him to do so, even though he was a sex offender.

Now Della Wright, a survivor of child sexual abuse, is fighting for change, after her perpetrator changed his name to evade authorities and keep his past hidden. She's fighting for 'Della's Law, which will end this loophole that has seen thousands of registered sex offenders 'go missing' under the watch of authorities.

I don't normally leave reviews, but this podcast has ignited a string sense of belief that this young man is innocent and Jodi's killer has literally gotten away with murder.

have been listening to this podcast for a while and can honestly say its one of the best, the detail and attention to the victim rather than the killer is done so tastefully - highly recommend

one of the best out there

As a host Channell is more guide on the side than sage on the stage, giving voice to the voiceless and space to families, friends and others affected to share their perspectives.

An honest, compassionate, survivor-focused and trauma informed podcast. A refreshing take on the true crime genre.
