About this listen

Love & Justice is back with a new case and a new approach.

Season 1 was shaped by the limits of an active investigation, where key evidence remained out of reach. In Season 2, those limitations are gone. With access to detailed case files, the support of Andrew’s family, and a newly assembled team, the series takes on the 2001 death of UC Davis student Andrew Wieman.

Andrew was found in his fraternity room with 29 stab wounds - multiple of which were fatal. The case was ruled a suicide. This season brings in fresh eyes and new expert voices, alongside modern forensic analysis, to reexamine the evidence with a more focused and deliberate process—returning to the question that has never fully gone away: what really happened to Andrew Wieman?

In the morning hours of October 6, 2009, an intruder broke into the Milwaukee-area home of 19-year old Ashleigh Love, walked to her bedroom, and shot her to death while she was sleeping. More than 13 years have passed since she was killed, and the case is still cold. No suspects have been arrested. No justice has been served. It's time for that to change.

On Episode 1, host Kyle Olson talks with the Love Family about beginning a rejuvenated quest for justice through a podcast. Together, Kyle and the family begin to build a team, make a plan, and start investigating.
