Summary

 March 2003, just outside the town of Port Ferris, Washington. I used to drive the coast road every night that spring, chasing something I couldn't name. That's when I met Elias, the last keeper of the Bonaker Light—a lighthouse that had been decommissioned for thirty years but still burned a light every night. He told me about the song that came up through the stone, a low frequency hum that resonated in your chest like a second heartbeat.
