About this listen

A new assembly bill aims to prevent youth violence. It was developed by incarcerated students at Pleasant Valley State Prison, through the Institute of Incarcerated Leaders Program, led by Initiate Justice. Bret Burkhart and Veronica Carter are joined by the policy director at Initiate Justice, Liz Kim, and one of the students who worked on the bill, Mike Baker.
