We are excited to announce that Green Energy Futures is heading out on tour to bring back stories of some of Canada's best net-zero home builders.We're calling the series Chasing Net Zero, which we are doing in collaboration with the Canadian Home Builders Association Net Zero Labelling program, which launched in 2016.Pioneering home builders have been working on net-zero homes since the mid-2000s, but the CHBA realized what was needed was a program to define and label these homes as net-zero or net-zero ready to help builders and consumers alike.Today, the idea is taking off with 365 builders, energy advisors, and retrofitters involved in the program having built more than 3,700 net-zero homes.We talk to Sonja Winkemann and Colin Bayne of the CHBA Net Zero Labelling program to find out what a net-zero home is and how it all works.We have already begun filming stories on some amazing home builders such as Doug Tarry Homes in St. Thomas, Ontario, Land Ark Homes in West Port, Ontario, and Avalon Master Builders in Calgary, Alberta.
