  • Familicide in Shreveport: Shamar Elkins and Family Annihilation
    Apr 24 2026

Eight children, ages 3 to 11, lost their lives in a single morning in Shreveport, but was this tragedy preventable? In this episode, we analyze the ignored warning signs that preceded Shamar Elkins’ rampage. From his 2019 conviction for firing shots near a school to his January 2026 stay in a VA hospital for 'dark thoughts,' the red flags were waving long before the first shot was fired on Harrison Street. We investigate the legal systems meant to prevent felons from obtaining firearms and the specific failures in domestic violence intervention that left Elkins’ wife and ex-wife vulnerable despite the escalating tension of their separation

  • The Gilgo Beach Murders: Vulnerable Targets
    Apr 17 2026

The arrest of architect Rex Heuermann in July 2023 was a shock to the world, but the evidence had been there all along. Today, we investigate the two forces that kept this case cold: systemic victimology and police malpractice. We analyze the profile of the 'successful professional' vs. the 'hidden victims' he targeted, and how the moral judgments of society and law enforcement created a 13-year head start for the killer. Featuring a breakdown of the Burke scandal and the forensic breakthroughs that finally bypassed the corruption, this is a deep dive into the darkest corners of Long Island justice.
