Friend, I’ve been there...

This podcast inspires REAL moms with REAL homes and REAL budgets to transform their houses into homes they love. You will learn affordable and practical decorating tips, tricks, DIY tutorials, and more. I teach home owners how break through the barrier of what’s keeping them stuck in their home design, while also encouraging them to tell their home’s story from within by living a life of intention with the people they share their home with. My mission is to equip you with all the how-tos so you can decorate a home you love walking in to; a home you are confident in, that feels cozy and comfortable; a home that feels cohesive and put together.

Hey, I’m Dani - a former First Grade teacher turned home decorator. Going from a dual income to a single income so I could stay home with my babies meant budget - like Ramen eating, Goodwill shopping budget and I learned a few things along the way: how to bring BIG style to your home without breaking the bank. And I’ve put it all together in this podcast so you know where to start, what to buy and where to hang it!

If you’re ready to break free from the Pinterest perfect trap and decorate your home with style by making confident decisions (all without taking out a second mortgage) - this podcast is for you!

So put down that sledgehammer, grab your paintbrush and let’s get started!

  • 403 // The Secret to a Home That Is Always Company Ready (Without Looking Like a Showroom)
    Jul 3 2026

Ever get that text — "Hey, we're in the neighborhood, mind if we stop by?" — and feel your stomach drop?

You're not alone. Getting your home guest ready on a moment's notice feels overwhelming when you don't have a system. But here's the truth: a company-ready home isn't about having a perfect home. It's about having an intentional one.

In this episode, I walk you through exactly how to reset your home in minutes — and how to set it up so that guest-ready is basically its natural resting state.

What You'll Learn in This Episode:
    • Why "guest ready" doesn't mean perfect — and the mindset shift that takes the pressure off for good
    • The 5 zones that actually matter when guests come over (and why you can let the rest go)
    • The 20-minute reset: a go-to order of operations so you're never running around randomly
    • The clutter basket trick that will change your life
    • Why smell is your home's very first impression — and how to make it a good one
    • The one lighting swap that makes every room feel warmer and more intentional instantly
    • How to create "company corners" — 2-3 spots that are always styled so the rest of the room feels pulled together even when it isn't
    • The four bathroom non-negotiables guests actually notice
    • Why a $5 bunch of grocery store flowers does more than you'd think
The 20-Minute Reset Order of Operations:
    1. Light a candle, set a diffuser or start a simmering pot
    2. Clear and wipe surfaces (don't forget the basket)
    3. Quick sweep (both with eyes and a broom/vacuum)
    4. Attention to seating areas (couch: fluff pillows, dining: wipe chairs)
    5. Fresh towel in the bathroom
    6. Turn off overhead lights and turn on lamps
