Grandad’s spent decades walking with Christ, and building a life of faith, marriage, family, and service in the church. I’m really looking forward to hearing more of his story today. His love for God, the way he teaches, and the way he leads singing, so I'm super blessed to have a chat with him today.

Jules has such an amazing story. From his early years in Adelaide, to being baptised as a teenager, to preaching, evangelising, teaching music, leading worship around Australia and the U.S, and helping train hundreds of worship leaders. Today’s guest has one of the most incredible life stories I’ve heard, full of perseverance, resilience, and God’s grace shown through so many different seasons. She’s someone who shows kindness and gratitude wherever she can, and her life really reflects the light of Jesus.

Penny Fry is someone really special. She's someone I've known for as long as I can remember. She has walked through a lot in her life, but through every hardship, she has held onto her faith and kept trusting God. A conversation about Daniel’s search for truth, the questions that led him to explore the Bible more deeply, and the journey that eventually led him to faith in Christ.

Today, I’ve got another great conversation lined up with someone who has such a genuine heart for God and for people, Daniel Smith.

Daniel grew up in Gympie, Queensland, in a Christian family with two older sisters and an older brother. After finishing school, he went on to study Biology at university before heading down to Tasmania to spend two years at a Bible school. Not long after that, he met and married his wonderful wife Hannah, and together they moved to Toowoomba, where they’ve been living for the past eight years.

These days, Daniel works full-time for the Gipps St Church of Christ, where he’s involved in preaching, helping smaller congregations, running youth group, and much more. He and Hannah have two young boys — four-year-old Oliver, and their one-year-old, Franklin.

Daniel became a Christian when he was 14, after spending a lot of time digging into the arguments for and against God’s existence — watching debates, reading books, and exploring all the evidence. Through that search, he became convinced that God is real and that Jesus truly is the Son of God — and that faith has shaped everything since.
