Hello, friends! This week it’s just Fr Aaron without my lovely wife, Marissa. However, my dear friend Dcn Ben Acone joined me on this episode for a great conversation around the readings. Thank you, Ben for such a fun time! And listeners, enjoy the slightly different flavor this week.

This week has us sending along another re-post from the archives, while we are on sabbatical. The readings for this week are almost exactly the same as the RCL Lectionary we were using three years ago, but any timely remarks will be tied to circa 2023. Thanks for joining us, friends, and we look forward to returning to fresh episodes very soon!

In this episode, we consider the readings for Proper 6, Year A in the Lectionary cycle:

    Genesis 18:1-15, 21:1-7 & Psalm 116:1, 10-17; Exodus 19:2-8a & Psalm 100; Romans 5:1-8; Matthew 9:35-10:23.

We discuss the story of the the messengers coming to Abram and Sarah who laughed, the Lord's message to Israel at Mt. Sinai, Psalms of Thanksgiving, Paul's words on hope and the love of Jesus, and Jesus' sending out the twelve in His name.

This week has us sending along a re-post from the archives. The readings for this week are the same, but any time-sensitive things will be circa 2023. Thanks for joining us friends!

In this episode, we consider the readings for Proper 5, Year A in the Lectionary cycle:

    Genesis 12:1-9; Psalm 33:1-12; Hosea 5:15-6:6; Psalm 50:7-15; Romans 4:13-25; Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26.
