“The girl” has lead her life locked up in a basement being trained to be a “good girl for daddies” all she’s known is abuse, torture & pain 😭
One day the girl watches a movie that was different to the usual ones she’s made to see. This one told her that daddies are not meant to do those things to girls & girls should not let them do it either! Something inside the girl snaps & suddenly she’s free for the first time in her whole life.
Unfortunately this isn’t good news for her neighbour, Serenity, as the girl still believes she needs to hurt all the daddies & seeing Serenity being intimate with her husband triggers that belief…
Serenity has to fight to keep her family safe, but can the girl be stopped in her delusional state 😬
Okay, ima be real! This one was a hard listen when it was the girls POV, with her being brainwashed from child abuse into believing certain things & the wording for things, it was hard to hear the words coming from a childlike mouth (I’m a visualiser when reading/listening) so I did feel uncomfortable.
The girl literally had no idea of the real world & the way she spoke broke my heart. It was so real & raw, the damage she had endured which in turn she created because of her beliefs.
It was thought provoking, hurty hearty & so very well done! I thought I bought the sequel in paperback but I cannot find it so I shall listen on audible & get the paperback from Jonathan at the indie con at the weekend ☺️
This is Extreme horror so please don’t go in blind, check those triggers & be aware it’s a hard read/listen. Your mental health matters too 🫶🏻🤎
