That was the most piss taking cliffhanger in the history of cradle. If I dont get a sequel soon blood will be spilled.

Packed full of intense action and world shaking developments, Uncrowned is a cracking entry to the series.

Unfortunately we have hit that point where it’s tough to contain a story arc in a single book, so the cliffhanger is sudden and brutal, but I’ve read Wintersteel (which happens to be my favourite) and totally recommend it.

If I recall from my previous read through, the books are most satisfying if you read them in pairs from this book onwards.

The tournament theme really suits the setting, and I also enjoyed the nice twists towards the end.

It was great to see some old friends appear again, on the other hand the experience was not balanced. Sometimes I just got the feeling, the author forgets about following up on what happens with the other.

Travis Baldree's stellar performance brought each and every scene to life again.

So exciting and fun. The Uncrowned king tournament does not disappoint. This book is the climax of the build up made by the past few books. it is so rewarding and you really feel the effects of all the effort Lyndon and the others have put in. I feel so proud of them. The final fight in this book especially highlights how far they've come. The previous books really put in the work and now finally we can just revel in the results of the build up and the training of the characters. And it's good! So satisfying.
