The eleventh book in this amazing series is a true page-turner. The case is gripping and refreshingly different, focusing on the sudden disappearance of a woman believed to be in an abusive relationship. Packed with twists and turns, the way the story unfolded completely blew me away. The detectives’ personal lives add extra depth, with Boyd recovering from cancer and Okeke concerned about her partner, Jay, who’s in the USA. The book wraps up with a tantalising cliffhanger.

As always, Aubrey Parsons delivers outstanding narration.
