About this listen

How do you imprison the world’s most powerful supervillains and make sure they can’t escape?

The Trench, a supermax prison at the bottom of the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean—toss them in and throw away the key.

“Inescapable” doesn’t even begin to describe this place. Even if I could get past the power dampeners and multiple layers of security, where am I going to go?

Oh yeah, did I mention I am now the Trench’s newest inmate because I refused to give up being a masked crimefighter? Yeah. Total crap, right?

I was captured by the Counter-Vigilante Taskforce, and now the world’s smartest villain—Crosscircuit—wants me to help him with his escape plot.

Why would I do that? Let’s just say if I don’t, there’s no way I can handle the consequences.

My name is Sawyer William Vincent. Once known as Red Raptor, I'm now Black Harrier, one of the world's most famous masked crime-fighters. At least I used to be…

The Trench is the second book in the new Harrier series from Audible number one best-selling author Jaime Castle and CJ Valin, the creators of Raptors.

This is a prison escape super hero/ super villain style adventure and what an adventure it is. This series is written as one big book, with each book giving you an idea of what is going to happen and then continuing in the next book. This does mean you need to read or listen to the books in order and be prepared to want, no need the next book. The story is told with each chapter following a different character. This works well, letting the story flow nicely and giving you plenty of action, drama and suspense. I am just loving the characters and the difficult situations they keep finding themselves in. I can't wait for the next book.
Sawyer aka Black Harrier's days as a super hero are over. Trying to save the world has cost him his girlfriend and now his freedom. He is sent to an underwater prison that no one has escaped from, not even a super villain. Can a hero survive being locked up with some of the villains he helped put in there? Or will breaking out with some of those said villains be his only choice? Meanwhile his father's plans to run for mayor are over and somebody is doing there best to destroy his company but the way Frank is feeling he could very well do it himself. Alex feels guilty for putting his friend and partner behind bars but it won't stop him from still doing his job, even if that job calls for putting his ex girlfriend there to. Can he really turn us back on his so called friends?
There are a number of narrator's for this book, each one having there own character to follow. This makes following the story so easy, as each sounds very different but all very talented at voices.
