I love all the different characters, especially Dante. It's good to have a main character with flaws and friends, all together an excellent story read buy a very good narrator. An easy listen which I often listen to in bed.

I did wonder whether the second instalment would suffer like so many others but this was a delightful addition and makes me look forward to book three. I loved the whole orchid theme (I only have three of my own) and the New Zealand setting is such a rare pleasure. I wasn’t so keen on the pregnancy of the cat having been an animal rescuer and always had rescues neutered to prevent more animals being in need of help. However I have full confidence in dear Dante being able to vet kitten adopters! There was such an interesting cast of new characters as well as the core inhabitants of Te Kohe and I hope these novels reach a large audience.
