Summary

Thirteen years ago, Olivia Adams went missing. Now she's back...or is she?

When six-year-old Olivia Adams disappeared from her back garden, the small community of Stoneridge was thrown into turmoil. How could a child vanish in the middle of a cozy English village?

Thirteen years on and Olivia is back. Her mother is convinced it's her but not everyone is sure. If this is the missing girl, then where has she been - and what happened to her on that sunny afternoon?

If she's an imposter, then who would be bold enough to try to fool a child's own mother - and why?

Then there are those who would rather Olivia stayed missing. The past is the past and some secrets must remain buried.

An absorbing and gripping psychological thriller that will have you holding your breath until the final minute.

I usually love abductions and coming back stories, but the plot here was too easy to guess way too early on and lacked the usual snarky sense of humour Wilkinson usually displays and I’ve gotten to love.

An absolutely average story, great to fall asleep to and or do chores, as even if you miss large chunks it doesn’t really matter.

Completely fine, but not the usual brilliance of Wilkinson

The lead in, in the two way story; takes too long - and the tying up of the two stories into one, done too quickly; almost as though she wanted to just get it done with. Maybe I watch too much CSI or Forensic TV; BUT no surprise for me at the end!

Enthralling

It grabbed me straight away and although it was predictable, this did not bother me at all. In my experience, predictable books are not always the best but this one kept me interested.

If I was to criticise, it was that I would be that too much was given away and I guessed everything throughout. There were no suprises.. Would still recommend and to say I still gave 5 stars says something for me.

This was a great listen and enjoyed every second.

This is one of those books that really captivated me. The narration was excellent which allowed the story to flow. There was enough intrigue from the protagonist to keep the reader guessing. Enjoyed it immensely.

Brilliantly believable story with a satisfying end
