As in book one, I enjoyed the Norse mythology in this book and it tied in well with the circus theme. After all the teen angst in book one which, to a degree, follows through into this book, I do feel poor Stig was a little short-changed at the end, especially after all the poor boy has been through. The solution to the mystery wasn’t hard to predict, but the atmosphere in this isolated circus was certainly creepy. The end sort of hints that there is the potential for another book in the series, but I’m not sure if I’m invested enough in Martha as a main character. We’ll see if the time comes. The audiobook is well narrated
