About this listen

The second installment in a dark obsession fantasy romance duet set in a city of warring vampire clans, perfect for fans of Haunting Adeline, From Blood and Ash, and Gild.

Scarlett

All my life, I've been scorned for what I am: an object of desire, a temptress, a demon. Now my dark and mysterious powers of seduction might be my only salvation.

I am living in a nightmare. Rune's voice torments me. Cruel hands offer touch and torture that I cannot refuse. My addictive blood spurs obsession and frenzy, but I am not defenseless. The born vampires can't fathom the embodiment of wrath and vengeance they are forging from sin and blood.

Rune

All her life, I have watched her from the shadows. Now she haunts my every moment, my every dream. She is inescapable: the vastness of an ocean, the radiance of a field of stars, the deep darkness of divine feminine rage.

Valentin is in a state of upheaval. One wrong move could provoke the annihilation of everything my clan has built, the destruction of the city my Scarlett adores. I am trapped by duty, bound by loyalty. But each day that passes without my Little Flame, the more famished my shadows become.

One day, they will feast.

This is the second and final installment in the Eternal Obsession duet. You must listen to Stalked by Seduction and Shadows first. Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website. Narrated in duet style.

Okay, my review on the first book was rushed, everything changes in this one! There is characters growth and excitement and the whole thing! The first book is slow, but it's so worth it once you get to this one! Must Read!

Read it!

I enjoyed both books.
I think when Scarlett is recovering and Rune shares more of his backstory it clears up the reason he was in Scarlett's home town when and why he noticed her!
This story was very exciting with Scarlett getting kidnapped and then escaping her captors, and learning to use her powers etc.
Though I did think the book was a bit on the long side.
Narration was good. 😊

Great

Second part of the duet is very dark and I really felt the terror of the heroine. MMC was perfect and I loved him how he treated her. I will definitelly listen again. It ends with HEA, thanks dor that🙏

Couldn’t stop listen, it was that good

The first half of the book is quite dark and the second half is exciting. Loved it. The narrators are perfect for the characters. Great end to the story. I preferred the second book.

Beautifully written and a great ending! Some parts in Scarlett’s POV were a hard listen. First third of the book were definitely giving off Handmaid’s Tale sort of vibes (especially a certain scene 🤐)… but I was glad I kept reading.

The author did a great job balancing the retribution and revenge plotting between the heavier and more demented trauma the FMC and other females were experiencing— DEFINITELY CHECK THE CONTENT WARNING FOR THIS BOOK! It’s not for the faint of heart!! But for those (like myself) who enjoy a dark read with a satisfying revenge story it’s well worth the read!

Definitely darker than the last book but I loved it all the same! Safe to say I’ll be in a bit of reading hangover now I’ve finished Scarlett and Funes story 🥲

The performance was great and I love love LOVE a duet narration (far better than dual narration). Only thing I would say (and why I haven’t given it 5 stars) is that sometimes (aside from the FMC & MMC) certain characters sounded very much alike and it took some concentration and after several parts of speech to distinguish individual side characters due to how similar they could sound, more from the female narration than the male. But overall a good and convincing performance that had me gripped and want to keep reading!

Brilliant end to a beautiful duology
