This series has three all-stars so I knew it was going to be an amazing start to the series and hearing it, it checks off so many boxes.

Sarah is a Colloanian, on her way to her arranged marriage. One she’s been groomed for all her life but she’s taken on the way to the church.
There’s so much happening. Who can Sarah depend upon to survive all she’s been thrown into.
Dario is brutal at the start, the kind of alpha a-hole everyone loves to hate. But Sarah is resigned to accept her fate for now. Until she can escape back home.
Yet there is deception and twists that will have you questioning who is friend and who is foe.
There definitely heat between Sarah and Dario and he opens up somewhat to her, so she opens her eyes to the Collonians she swore would save her, only to be disillusioned by her family and with it she questions her life so far.
Just when she starts building trust in Dario. There’s a huge what the hell that happens with a cliffhanger that left me seeking the next book now!
I have missed hearing the talented Erin Mallon. She is amazing here. Bringing out the innocence of Sarah while showing us her resilience and strength as she tries to come to terms with the direction her life has taken. I really love her ease of switching characters from male to female with care for showing us each character so that we feel like we’re right there with them.
Teddy’s voice is also one that I love. He’s got the attitude and chalkiness of Dario hands down. I’m just not sure if I like Dario at this point but love when a character redeems themselves which I believe he will do in the future books.
