About this listen

Azirah celebrates the return of the Solari!

After an unfortunate run-in with a train, Tariq awakens in a magical world as the last of a mythical race that vanished centuries ago. He inherits a legacy that demands he grow in strength, rebuild an empire, and uncover the secrets behind the extinction of his new people.

But nothing says he can’t enjoy the adventure along the way. Wielding powerful solar magic, befriending Sacred Beasts, and exploring ancient cities are just the beginning, and he intends to make the most of his new life no matter what.

A simple plan to restore power to the ruins he’s inherited immediately spirals when he encounters demons that need slaying, a mischievous Faery with secrets, and a stoic, flame-haired Princess in need.

To navigate the devious plots, underwater cities, and Magic-Born peoples of the Karnak Jungle, he’ll need to sharpen his deal-making, diplomacy, and leadership, but he’s going to do it all his own way.

Because what’s the point of having magic if you can’t break the rules?

I haven't read much from this author, but this book was a great start to a series.

Great start.

Solar legacy 1 has a slower start but stays consistently fun, and as the chapters go on so did my enjoyment of it.
Early chapters help set the start of it, fleshing our the growth, MC, and such.

After the early intro & backstory, more characters are properly introduced and that's where I'd say this book starts to really shine.
The characters are great, with the MC being optimistic enough to keep the story light & fun whilst not getting bogged down with the bitty gritty slower boring stuff. Focusing on fun.

Chapter 9 has my favourite audio effect in it, the prominent voice with a little back info.
The audio quality is great with these, with the various voices but also recording quality.

There are a few fun tongue-in-cheek references to humourous effects alongside relatability. If you get them, they add chuckles. If not, they don't detract anything.

Looking forward to book 2.

Great characters & story with awesome audio quality
