I love the vagus nerve and this book gives a really clear and simple structure to on how our body connects to our feelings of stress explaining how trauma lives in the body, not just the mind, and why certain responses or triggers happen. As well as helping me to really understand the vagus nerve much better it gives 30 minute daily sessions that I loved.

Although I knew about the vagus nerve I hadn’t tackled how somatic therapy or heart rate variability plays into looking after our nerve and this, for me, was invaluable. It’s a well put together book that will help those new to the subject and those, like me, who are already familiar with it and I am so glad that I listened to it because I now have some exercises I can do. You won’t be disappointed.
