What did you like most about Sense and Sensibility?

This is another masterpiece from Jane Austen, with wonderful depths to the stories of her characters. Although it's somewhat mournful throughout, it's definitely a must-read.

Juliet Stevenson did a fabulous job as always, such quality to her reading. But I have to say that after listening to the whole, rather negative story for much of the time, I just had to watch the Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet etc film, whose performances were just stunning.

Can't believe I have never read this classic, but so glad I waited to listen to it, superbly narrated by Juliet Stevenson. I am now looking for other books read by her. Thoroughly recommend.

Wonderfully read by Juliet Stevenson. Simply the best reader for British historical novels. It is a great regret that more attention is not given to who does the reading for audible material, especially those with content that has British characters

Juliet Stevenson reads this book so well. This complete unabridged version gives you the little intricacies and subtleness of language that you do not get from the radio plays or films. Each character is cleverly drawn and none are perfect. Jane Austen’s sharp wit upon and clear insight into Regency Britain and its imperfections are wonderful to hear from Juliet Stevenson. Her depictions of each character are excellent and I have enjoyed every Austen book read by her.
