Why on earth would you employ a narrator who struggles to pronounce Roman and Mediterranean proper nouns. The narrator is bland, flat and monotonous, undermining the gravity of the events, and bastardises Liddell-Hart’s English. It’s a small thing, but maybe get a narrator sympathetic to the authors voice.

I had to give up on this book due to the diabolically bad narration that was beyond irritating. A shame really, as B.H. Liddell Hart is one of my favourite historians and theorists.
