The author of the book Revolutionary Moon wakes up with no physical sensation except for an AI voice in her head. She has no memory of who she is but the voice tells her that her memory will come back as it reads to her the book she wrote years earlier. The voice tells her, that, as time went on, the events she wrote about actually happened. In this mysterious story within a story, the author and AI learn and grow together through the reading of Revolutionary Moon, a speculative science fiction novel that predicted or caused history to become an optimistic apocalypse.

The Earth is in trouble. After a short but devastating nuclear war, massive climate change leading to a swath around the equator called The Dead Zone, wave after wave of new and deadly viruses, and a sudden drop in birth rates across the planet, it looks like the "tipping point" is long past. On the near side of the moon is a base for the white male American Army, in total control of the other colony. On the far side live the original and racial diverse colonists who the army treats like slaves. The story begins at a meeting between the two sides of the moon with unrest and rebellion in the air.

An intervention comes in the form of aliens or angels- beings of light that can communicate and change matter at will. For the people on the moon, everything they thought they knew is turned upside down and three days later the Event occurs that changes history. The same thing will occur on Earth in three years, so the people on the moon, overcome their prejudices and differences to create a plan to save humanity. First, they break away from Earth and announce a Revolution. Then they learn about the gift the light beings leave them- Radiant Matter. Now they are planning the creation of twelve Lunar Colonies on Earth called Chrysalises- life boats for humanity during the complete collapse of civilization. As the future unfolds, so will the stories of the Chrysalis communities in this Radiant Matter series.
