I just don't like it when the heroine is so "innocent" and always confused and blushing. And she is being defiant for the same reasons a child would be. She is so juvenile, and the male character is over fourty. It's just weird the whole time that he fells for a childish 21 year old, and there is no substance to her character.

I had no idea what to expect going into this but I'd heard good things and I wanted a palette cleanser between fantasy. This was just what the doctor ordered. Light, fun and a plot I couldn't predict.

The first time Emerson Grant meet his sons ex gf Charlie he mistakes her for one of the girls his friend Garrett sent to him. When he asks Charlie to be his secretary he does it hoping she will help him get his son back . He didn’t expect Charlie to be curious about the club her part owns and they both start to have feelings for each other . Charlie knows it won’t go anywhere that he will put his son first but when everything comes to a head and Beau finds out she doesn’t expect Emerson to tell his son it’s nothing. I enjoyed the story and most the characters but Beau needs a huge slap and needs to grow up he really riled me with his attitude.
