The narrative grips you instantly! Adelaide Romanov's path to reclaiming her power is built on pure vengeance and brilliant strategy. This book has themes from a few well-known stories, but it's heavily based on Snow and her seven assassins.
It's very insta love, high spice, and intriguing, but slow plot. The ending was very rushed. But if you are looking for a spicy read, this one is for you.

This is the first book of Nikita's that I have read it and won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Adelaide, Maxcen, Carter, Blaze, Cage, Declan, Silas, and Daemon.
I really enjoyed that we got Adelaide, Maxcen, Carter, Blaze, Cage, Declan, Silas, Daemon, and Ravanna's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I originally read the book when it was first released and was so excited when I saw that it was coming to audio. Ash and Benjamin did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dark romance, reverse harem romance, forbidden romance, or modern-day fairytale retellings.

I cared about Adelaide and her getting revenge! I also really liked Max. The rest of the harem blurred together except for Carter being super bossy. The premise sounded amazing but the story didn’t follow through. I love twins in a harem but their “relationship” didn’t add anything except shock value. I did enjoy the insight from the villain’s POV chapters!
Overall, I didn’t love it. But it kept me reading!
The female narrator was great and I was so happy when it was her chapters! The male had potential! His British accent was fantastic! But the poor guy made the weirdest breathing/huffing sounds between sentences. It drove me crazy! It’s like he was running out of air.

A loose retelling of Snow White, this is a dark RH with triggers for some so beware.
I enjoyed the suspense and mystery in this story. The steam was next level with 7 men and one FMC. It also contains multiple MM scenes if that's your jam.
I liked Adeline's strength. Everything she goes through and not breaking is amazing.
This was my first listen/read by Nikita and it won't be my last. I look forward to checking out more of her stories.
