About this listen

She's not just the perfect enemy but my little sister's best friend. And now she's my fake wife.

After two decades of fighting for my country, all it takes to finally bring me to my knees is a woman half my age.

She's got herself mixed up with the wrong people: my enemies. Now, the only way to save her life is to pretend we're married. Forcing her to play my twisted little game will make her hate me even more.

She'll follow my rules, and I'll take her hate because her love is what could destroy us both.

Perfect Enemy is an enemies-to-lovers standalone romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author M. Robinson.

I had high hopes for this story and was really looking forward to hearing Cove and Chase's story. The story was unbalanced, with some serious plot holes, and not enjoyable. Chase didn’t redeem himself until the last couple of chapters, and to be honest, it does make you wonder why Cove would want someone like him. Yes, they’re both damaged, but he’s damaged beyond repair, and his treatment of Cove at times was just a little too much—it was over the top. By the end of the story, I actually didn’t want them to be together. I wanted Cove to walk away and find someone else. I feel like the ending was quite rushed. The whole 'pretend wife' story wasn't necessary, and I couldn't buy into it.

The narrators were both good and they saved the story. Their talent and skill in acting are what saved this story and made it possible for me to finish it

Disappointing

The Story line was okay but the male narrator’s voice sounded robotic and he spoke so fast and ended up sounding like a 1980’s football commentator

Not bad

Good listen... unfortunately the male narrator nearly made me turn it off but the female kept me interested. wasn't as good as the 1st book.

it was OK listen

I found this uncomfortable reading. I don't have an issue when there's an age gap in a relationship but I struggled with the much older man's domineering control of a just out of school girl. Too much focus and over description of the intimate scenes; again the "hero" was overly controlling like it's ok to bully a person that way. I'm just old fashioned I guess and just prefer the ping and pong of relationship courtships. If you like erotica and the over domineering man, the this is for you, but not me.

Aggressive erotica
