Be careful what you witch for.

Welcome to year two at Weatherstone College…

Last year, after coming face to face with darkness and lethal monsters, Logan Kingston, my sworn enemy and sometimes ally, brought my first year to an explosive ending. There’s a bond between us that I can’t explain, but I just know he’s hiding something. Maybe I don’t fully trust any spellcaster, but there’s no denying my draw to him.

I’m not going to lie, I haven’t felt myself since then, and I’m dreading returning to Weatherstone. But secrets inevitably unravel, and when the truth comes to light, I have no idea who will be left standing.

Great follow up to Spellcaster. This is an action packed story - after finding out that Paisley has been cursed by Logan's father and then the council wants to destroy Paisley because of her affinity - I felt like I was constantly on the go!
It was a really shame that's it only a duology as I really like the characters.
But I do see there is going to be a cross over with the shadow beast shifters, which I am very much looking forward to!
Narration was great! 🙌

Excellent!

A well narrated audiobook. Though the male narrator often sounded Russian?🤔

I'll admit I didn't enjoy this one as much as Book 1. I still had a really good time, though.🙌✨️ I was pleased the fmc and mmc stopped all of the dancing around.😉🔥

The core group lost one member and gained a new one. They stayed as wonderfully bound as friends and family, as in book 1.🥰

The final battle was scary and a shocker!💥

I ended up falling hard for Logan.❤️‍🔥 It's a thoroughly enjoyable duology!😍

I definitely enjoyed the first book more. As always with female leads they had her in life and death situations unable to funtion because a handsome man walked into a room. This one made me eye roll a lot. I don't mind it happening once, but to have it constantly happening and Logan was not affected the same way, just made me sigh each time. He was the strong one, able to speak in her presence, yet she was the dumb one, taken out by a bare chest or rolled up sleves!. He kept having to force her chin up to look at him or have him say, my eyes are up here. YAWN! this is why I switched to MM romance. I'm fed up with us women being written as dumb and unable to function when a good looking guys appears.

Bit of a let down, I had waited months for this book. I felt the story could of been stronger and given more about the night witch, rather than rushing it all in within the last hour of the book. Paisley did seem like she was going to be a strong character, but i found her rather pathetic in this book that I did keep losing interest. I can usually complete a book in a day but this took me 2 days, and I had to force myself to finish it. Kept getting distracted on FB.

I wouldn't listen too again and I doubt I would recommend.

Female narrator did ok, but she did get a little too dramatic for my liking at times and started shouting. Im AuDHD so I'm sound sensitive.
Male narrator did well for the amount of different voices he pulled out for each character. He put in good effort without shouting down the mic to convey distress.

Good some times, when the FMC was able to speak and function.... Major eye rolls
