Multilayered and brutal, this is a fitting conclusion to Pine’s quest – but hopefully not the last we’ll see of her
A riveting brain-teaser as well as serving up vivid action scenes (Sunday Times on Daylight)

I have enjoyed everyone of these books what a gritty heart stopping ending brilliant David Baldacci now on my author list, well done narrator Brittany Pressley for bringing the characters to life with brilliant emotional verbal expressions made me tearful at times.

Fantastic

This series tries for a feminist showcasing of strong and hard women but fails for me (as a female listener). When was the last time a male lead character had to fight back tears every few minutes? Or a male assassin wells up with tears talking about their childhood? The implied sisterhood (women stick together because they're women) is also a bit trite.

That said, it's an intriguing story that unfolds at just the right pace so worth a listen if you can tune out the girl power overtones.

Bit sexist but otherwise entertaining
