About this listen

From the beloved creator of Lonely Hearts Radio and Wild Hearts comes an enchanting new story about love's ability to heal the deepest family divides.
In the picturesque Cornish seaside town of St. Bodwell, the Daveys and the Chenoweths have been entrenched in a bitter feud for centuries. But when local historian Sam Chenoweth begins curating an exhibition on the ill-fated 19th century romance between his ancestor Ada Chenoweth and John Davey, he finds an unexpected ally in Abbie Davey.
As they work together uncovering Ada and John's tragic love story, a surprising connection blossoms between Sam and Abbie. Despite dark family secrets and lies, their growing intimacy has the power to not only bring the exhibition to vivid life, but to finally shatter the cycle of hatred between their families and lay some restless old ghosts to rest at last.
Weaving together a irresistible historical love story and a modern romance, Mending Hearts is an uplifting reminder that even the most tattered bonds can be repaired, one stitch at a time.

Good story

I enjoyed the story and characters...especially the invisible mending references, but I live in Cornwall & I found the non-Cornish & attempted Cornish accents of the narrators was really grating. Also, if you are going to write about native flora it would be good to be accurate about when it flowers. Maybe I'm being pedantic, but it makes it much harder for me to get fully invested in and carried away by a story when there are glaringly 'wrong' details in it.

Engaging characters & story but narration not the best

A nice story, predictable but fun, easy listening. The main male narrator was average, terrible accents and some bizarre pronunciation (Newquay pronounced “New Kway”?!) I honestly wondered if he was an AI generated voice.
