I enjoyed he first book but felt the pacing was interrupted by the mageball chapters, thankfully book 2 flowed a lot better than the first.

Danny has advanced to his second year and we get a who done it murder mystery, similar kind of mystery to that of the first, but this one didn't feel as obvious.

Overall, really fun book and look forward to the next one!

This book was awesome, engaging and intellectually stimulating.

However, the continuous use of character information sheets in every chapter upsets me immensely.

Now don't get me wrong, I ❤️ love this series.

I find it thought-provoking, interesting and the story arc is incredible.

The added complexity means I rate it ⭐️ half-a-star higher than the first Mage Academy.

Just ditch the character info. sheets in every chapter!!! 😠💢
