Following the stunning success of her high-spirited debut, Karen Witemeyer delivers this compelling blend of humor and romance. When Adelaid Proctor finds herself stranded in 1883 Texas, she’s hired by a British-born sheep rancher as governess for a daughter still grief-stricken over her mom’s death. As Adelaid gently draws the girl out of her shell of silence, the governess and sheep rancher, at first, resist their mutual attraction. But as a looming standoff draws near, it will either shatter or strengthen their developing romance.

A fast moving love story that includes God in people's decisions. Very well read by the narrator.

A love story honouring God.

Good clean Christian romance. A little predictable in parts but still a good listen. used some bible verses which is always great.

This is an interesting and sweet Christian romance novel, that kept my attention till its (happy) end.:)
Very good narration, with the exception of male lead's voice, which imo often sounded too much like narrator"s own voice. She did very well with the other male and female characters' voices, so much that I have searched for other books narrated by her.
I enjoyed this audio book very much.

Really good

I did listen to this in its entirety but I was crocheting at the same time as not much brainwork required for this story. Very formulaic in plot, dialogue and descriptions. Also regrettably, and I can’t think how to phrase this properly, too much “god” for my taste - such references came across more as a child writing a wish list for Santa Claus . The premise of the book was interesting though which is what drew me to it initially. And the English accents??? Oh dear 🤪

Too twee
