About this listen

A Tahlia Vedra Audiobook

Tahlia Vedra must face and try to repel the ambitious Helsmiths of Hashut, who threaten to overwhelm Hammerhal Ghyra with their inexorable armies.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Evan Dicken, author of Lioness of the Parch, brings Tahlia Vedra to life again and sets her against a new threat that will challenge her in ways she's never experienced. Can Tahlia overcome threats both within and without, and will the fires burning inside her be enough to unite her people and save Hammerhal?

THE STORY

When a marshal and his army are slaughtered without warning, First Marshal Tahlia Vedra is Hammerhal Ghyra's only hope. Tahlia must leave her beloved Aqshy behind to face the ruthless Helsmiths of Hashut, Chaos duardin who raze everything in their path. Defeating them will take more than her lauded strength and tenacity alone.

Now, Tahlia is a stranger in her own city. The first marshal no longer knows who she can trust amongst reluctant allies and jealous rivals. As old enemies seek to undermine her from within, the Helsmiths reveal a power more terrible than ever imagined. Facing utter destruction, Tahlia must fight like never before.

Written by Evan Dicken. Narrated by Valerie Antwi. Runtime is 11 hours and 2 minutes approx.

This is a great sequel to the first book.
The idea of even though your friends you’re still in enemy territory is fantastic

From political intrigue, backstabbing and goading even though the dwarfs were the main enemy he still couldn’t trust who was next to you.

And also the battle sequences were fantastic

Great pacing great Performance. 5/5 I’m biased as hell.

If your a cities fan, this is a must read

This is quickly becoming one of my favourite series in the AoS world. A very gripping story of Tahlia venturing into the twisted and messy world of Ghyran. It also provided a good look at the new refreshed Hellsmiths of Hashut who made for excellent mustache twirling villains.

Highly recommend.

Another excellent Tahlia Vedra book
